Volunteer With Us

Keswick Convention could not happen without our army of volunteers. It takes over 650 volunteers help to make the Convention possible each year. We are so grateful for all those who give their time to serve at the Convention. And we’d love you to get involved, too!

Applications NOW OPEN!|

There are so many roles that you can get help with, from volunteering in reception to serving in the gift processing or technical teams. If you’ve got a heart for working with children, youth or in the crèche, then please apply for roles within our children’s and youth ministry. Places are also available on the café and catering teams. Browse all teams below before submitting an application.

Keswick Convention runs across 3 separate weeks. We recommend volunteers apply for a single week which runs Saturday to Saturday. The volunteer dates for 2024 Convention are as follows:

  • Week 1: 13th – 19th July
  • Week 2: 20th – 26th July
  • Week 3: 27th July – 2nd August

It will be great to have you on team, so please do send in your applications sooner rather than later.

Please note that if you are wanting to serve on one of our teams which require a DBS (Children & Youth teams etc) you will need to have your application in by  Wednesday 1st May 2024. Any people who apply after that date will not be able to serve on one of those teams.

Our applications for 2025 aren't yet open, but you can register your interest below to be the first to know when applications open in autumn.

The Convention is such a great place to come and volunteer because of the people you work with, the encouragement of serving others, and the beauty of the local area to explore.

Part Time Volunteer Teams

We could not do Keswick Convention without the hundreds of volunteers who dedicate a week to serve in a number of ways. As well as volunteering “full time” did you know that you could volunteer with us for a few hours a day?
Join out “Part Time Team”!
If you want to dip your toe into the world of volunteering at Keswick or take a break from full time volunteering and still be part of the team why not check out our part-time volunteer roles.
Please complete an application form like the full time volunteers do, making sure you click on the part time position you are applying for.

Please note that we are not able to provide accommodation, meals or reimburse travel expenses for part-time volunteers.
Part-Time Café Team
Hours will be 10am until 11:30am from Monday to Friday.

This role supports the café team during the busy period between morning Seminars and Bible Readings.
Hours will be 10:30am until 1:15pm from Monday to Friday.

If you can help with prepping crafts on a Sunday afternoon – this would be very appreciated.
The Creche is an essential space at the Convention, providing a warm and welcoming, safe space for parents and children alike. Giving this space for the children to sleep and play, allows parents and carers to watch and listen to the live stream, or even have a much-needed conversation with the creche team and other parents.
Your role as a creche volunteer is to bring warmth and care to parents and their children when they visit the creche space, offering a cup of tea or a listening ear. Please note: parents will stay with their children.
What: Supporting the creche team during the busy period of the morning.
When: Monday – Friday, 11:30am – 1:00pm
Bonus: Travel expenses to and from Keswick
Hours will be 9am until 11am. Monday to Friday.

This role can be worked alongside another part-time role.

As long as you have the skills, there is scope to make this a full-time role with accommodation, meals and reasonable travel expenses.

Step 1: Can I apply?

We ask that:

All team members, whatever their role in the Convention or other areas of Keswick Ministries’ work, are able to declare their faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour, Lord and God. By accepting the invitation to serve on a team you are indicating your personal commitment to Christ.

All office staff, speakers, team leaders, volunteers and those in any form of public speaking ministry (including team members in children’s work, youth, young adults, Keswick Unconventional, signers, etc.) affirm their commitment to the truths outlined in our doctrinal statement. By accepting the invitation to serve with Keswick Ministries you are indicating your personal affirmation of these truths.

  • You are over 18, or over 20 for the Youth Team
  • You can commit to a whole week, arriving and departing on the respective Saturdays
  • You are able to attain a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to the beginning of the event (Kids & Youth Teams plus some roles in other teams)
  • You are eligible to serve in the UK (we are unable to assist with any Visa applications)
  • You can provide two references – one of which must be someone in a recognised leadership role within your church, who sees you at least twice a month, and ideally has known you for at least one year. The second referee needs to have known you for at least 2 years.

Step 2: Online Application Process

Choose your team from the options at the top of this page to begin your application for volunteering at the 2025 Convention. If you have volunteered with us previously, you will need to update your application for this coming year.

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee you a place on team.

Applications for 2025 team are not yet open. If you register interest using the button below, you’ll be the first to know when spaces open.

Step 3: Submit Application

What happens next?

You will receive an automatic acknowledgement and we will start the application process, communicating with you at regular intervals. Please note that applications can take around 4-6 weeks to complete, depending on suitable allocation to a team and the obtaining of references. Once you have been offered a place on team and we have satisfactorily completed all checks and references you will receive all the practical information at the beginning of June.
