Volunteer: Technical Team

What Will I be Doing?

You will be:

  • working as part of the Tech Team to install and set up PA and Projection kits for seminar and other small venues throughout the week
  • possibly asked to resource the tech needs in seminar venues
  • possibly supporting with other teams as needs arise  
  • assisting with whatever is needed behind the scenes

What Skills and Experience do I Need?

You will need to:  

  • have lots of enthusiasm for teamwork
  • have a good level of spoken English
  • some knowledge of Sound/Video/Tech is useful or a good ability to learn. All Tech Team applicants will be e-interviewed prior to confirmation on team
  • lots of energy and flexibility! 
  • general tech knowledge to assist other technicians in problem solving would be a bonus
  • the ability to concentrate and focus on the task
  • energy and fitness to load and unload a van and move from venue to venue as and when required
  • be ready to support other teams if/when a need comes up

When and Where Will I be Working?

  • You will be on duty each day. The days will be long, although we do try to factor in some rest time each day. 
  • You will be in various venues across our sites over the week.  
  • Most of our volunteers are expected to arrive on the Saturday and have duties each day until the following Saturday. However, there is some flexibility with arrival and departure dates for the Technical Team, if required.

Volunteers are required to: 

  • be aged 18 years or older 
  • be a committed Christian who is regularly attending and active in a local church 
  • be able to complete an online application and provide details of 2 referees – one who must be a leader within your church. Neither can be related to you.  
  • confirm their agreement to and abide with the Keswick Ministries beliefs, values & code of conduct
 

Full-time volunteers will receive:  

  • free accommodation  
  • three meals a day  
  • reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses
