Volunteer: Crèche Team

What Will I be Doing?

You will be:

  • welcoming families  
  • opening up the venue before each session  
  • making sure relay sound and vision are working with support from the Tech Team  
  • setting up the tea and coffee prior to each session  
  • tidying and cleaning after each session  
  • possibly supporting with other teams as needs arise  
  • assisting with whatever is needed behind the scenes  

What Skills and Experience do I Need?

You will need to: 

  • have lots of enthusiasm for teamwork  
  • have a love for children and a passion to provide a safe place for 3’s and under to play while parents/carers can hear God’s word
  • be ready to support other teams if/when a need comes up
  • have a good level of spoken English

When and Where Will I be Working?

  • The crèche is situated on the Pencil Factory site.
  • You will be on shift during the morning Bible Readings, evening celebrations (including Saturday and Sunday evenings and also the All-Age Service on Sunday morning), the Keswick lecture and if there are any seminars planned that are appropriate to families.

Volunteers are required to: 

  • be aged 18 years or older 
  • be a committed Christian who is regularly attending and active in a local church 
  • be able to complete an online application and provide details of 2 referees – one who must be a leader within your church. Neither can be related to you.  
  • if asked, able to obtain a clear Enhanced DBS check for Keswick Ministries 
  • confirm their agreement to and abide with the Keswick Ministries beliefs, values & code of conduct
 

Full-time volunteers will receive:  

  • free accommodation  
  • three meals a day  
  • reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses
