Please return to this webpage then to access the link.

Watch the video below and browse this page to find out more about our kids and youth group programmes.

Registration for Kids & Youth Groups:

The Convention programme is free and open to all, but we do ask that children & youth between 3 and 18 years old register so that we can make sure they are able to attend the correct groups and receive Bible teaching appropriate to their age. To register your child/ren, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to the Registration Webpage
2. Create / Update Your Account

To register, you will need to create an account with your family details. If you already have an account from last year, you will need to log in with the same details and update your family information.

3. Register for Groups

Register your children for their relevant age group each week of the Convention you are planning to attend.

Please note that spaces are limited so that we can provide the best possible experience for those attending in a safe environment. We encourage you to sign up as soon as possible, as spaces fill up quickly.

4. Children with Additional Needs

Register your children as usual for their relevant age group. You will then be able to add detail to your child’s record, which our Additional Needs Team will then review and be in touch with you to discuss.

Click here to learn more about this provision.

5. Waiting Lists

If your child is added to a waiting list, please be patient. We only have a certain capacity for each age group to ensure that children are safe and receive the best experience from attending the Convention. Our team will work to increase the capacity of groups where possible, and you will be notified by email as soon as a space is available based on your place in the queue.

Please note spaces are allocated on queue order. Only contact our team for support rather than waiting list enquiries.

Ages 3 - 11

Each morning (and evening for those aged 8–11) we have a great programme with exciting Bible teaching that we pray will help the children to know and love our great God!

The programme also includes small group work, games, activities, great singing and times of prayer. Each child will be in a small group with one of our brilliant team members. These small groups offer children a great opportunity to talk with their leader about what they are learning, to make new friends and have some fun! We have an excellent team who are excited to meet the children, are ready for a fantastic week and are waiting to share how great it is to follow Jesus.

We hope that families really enjoy Keswick! Our desire is that, as we teach the children during our sessions, we might enable parents to carry that teaching on throughout the day. We aim to follow the themes of the adult programme wherever possible and to tell you each day what we’ve been teaching, so families can talk about what they’re learning and grow to know Jesus together. We really want to be able to help in any way we can – so please do speak to any of the team!

Ages 11 - 18

Come and be challenged by God’s word and have fun with friends all in the amazing surrounding of the Lake District. If you’re aged between 11 and 18, then Keswick Youth is for you!

Speaking about God, reading the Bible and looking at how to live as a Christian will be central to your time at Keswick – and you’ll get to meet others your age too.

Our priority is to learn about God through His Word in the Bible. Through teaching, seminars, small group study, singing (plus some little extras!) God’s Word is taught and its relevance to all our lives is explained. A typical day involves Bible teaching in the morning plus sessions looking at stuff like big questions or practical ways of living as one of God’s people. Afternoons are free to do what you want and in the evenings there’s more teaching followed by Late Nite where all sorts of stuff can and will happen!

Please note that adults who are not part of the Keswick Youth Team will not be allowed access into the youth venues.

Parents must arrange collection of any 11–14s not attending the Late Nite programme.

Kids and Youth Additional Needs and Disability Provision

At Keswick Convention we love being able to serve families by providing kids and youth meetings in the mornings and (for 8+ years) in the evenings.
The numbers in any one age group can be in the range 80 – 300 in places. In the last two years, weeks 2 & 3 have been at full capacity and we continue to adapt to fit in as many children as possible. These numbers mean that it will be an unfamiliar, busy and sometimes noisy environment within which we want kids and youth to learn about Jesus, have fun, be safe, and build lasting relationships. With this in mind, please note the following.

ALL WEEKS

  • The Disability & Additional Needs Advisor for Keswick Ministries will be available on site
  • There will be a quiet space for Youth
  • There will be a small tent with some sensory toys at the back of each Kids venue
  • We CANNOT provide 1:1 care in any sessions. However, we are happy for a parent/carer to attend with their child. A yellow lanyard will be provided for identification within sessions.
  • It is vital that we are able to contact you during a session should there be a medical concern or incident requiring your urgent attendance at your child’s venue. Issues such as extreme distress, flight risk or aggression mean that you will be asked to attend any further sessions with your child.

WEEK 1

  • Additional needs support and orientation will be done within the individual teams
  • Contact the Disability and Additional Needs Advisor for Keswick Ministries if you would like to meet to discuss any issues

WEEKS 2 and 3

  • As last year, we have a Coordinator for Kids and Youth with additional needs or disability, along with a small volunteer team
  • You will be advised of a time slot to ring the Coordinator prior to your week to discuss the needs and help us provide an activity pack that will interest your child.
  • There will be a welcome session, guided tour and registration on Sunday afternoon (time and place to be confirmed)
  • TUESDAY AT 2:30pm will be a coffee & chat afternoon for parents of children and youth who have additional needs or disabilities. There will be some activities available for the children during this
  • If you’re a pastor or pastor’s wife with a child who has additional needs or a disability, you can book an individual chat, coffee and prayer with the Coordinator and/or husband (a church pastor)
  • For children unable to stay in their programme, we are looking to have a QR scavenger hunt around the site that will change every day.

PROGRESS

The provision we make through our wonderful volunteers is growing, developing and under constant review. We always welcome dialogue with parents/carers as we strive in partnership with you seeking the best for all children.
