From preparing meals and refreshments to setting up venues or running sound and video equipment, our behind-the-scenes teams make the Convention possible.
Whether you’re helping with hospitality, hands-on site preparation, or technical production, you’ll be part of a hardworking, friendly crew whose efforts ensure every event runs smoothly and every convention attendee has a great experience.
Hospitality Team
Join the behind-the-scenes team that keeps everyone refreshed and fuelled throughout the Convention! As part of the Hospitality Team, you’ll help prepare breakfast for volunteers, set up refreshments across the site, and serve coffee, cakes and snacks for ministry events and receptions. It’s a practical, rewarding role for early risers who love teamwork, enjoy serving others, and don’t mind being on their feet.
Key Information:
Location: Various venues across the site and in Keswick
Arrival: Saturday 1pm
Hours & Shifts: Around 8 hours per day (split over shifts, with one morning or afternoon off each week)
Skills Needed: Teamwork, reliability, attention to hygiene, and the ability to follow guidance from the team leader
Physical Requirements: On your feet for long periods and moving between venues
Other Requirements: Comfortable with early starts (first shift begins at 6:45am) and basic food preparation under supervision
Training: Full supervision provided, including food hygiene and safety
Set Up Teams
Help get the Convention ready to welcome thousands! During Set Up Week, volunteers play a vital role in transforming the site – from putting up signage and setting out chairs to prepping venues, cafés and tech areas. It’s a hands-on, practical week that suits people who enjoy teamwork, variety and being part of the buzz before everything begins. All roles require good energy and a reasonable level of fitness.

Hours & Shifts: Around 8 hours per day (daytime hours; may vary by team)
Teams Include:
Tech Support: Assist with venue setup alongside suppliers and Tech Lead
Venue Support: Prepare main venues — set out chairs, signage, and clean areas
Site Support: Help with banners, lighting, barriers, picnic tables and Base Camp prep
Catering Support: Set up team rooms and pantry with the Hospitality Lead
Reception Support: Handle admin tasks and prepare the reception area
Skills Needed: Teamwork, reliability, flexibility, and willingness to get stuck in
Physical Requirements: Most roles involve manual work and being on your feet
Tech & Production Team
Be part of the team that helps make the Convention heard and seen – both in Keswick and around the world! As part of the Tech & Production Team, you’ll help set up and operate sound and video equipment, support speakers and hosts, and ensure events run smoothly across multiple venues. It’s an exciting, hands-on role ideal for those with an interest in audio-visual tech, problem-solving and teamwork.
Key Information:
Location: Various venues across the site and in Keswick
Arrival: Saturday 1pm
Hours & Shifts: Around 8 hours per day (split over shifts; some longer days may be needed)
Skills Needed: Teamwork, good communication, calm under pressure, attention to detail and flexibility
Technical Skills: Some knowledge of sound, video or engineering (or willingness to learn – short online interview required)
Physical Requirements: Able to lift and move equipment, and work between venues
