As a child I was sent to Sunday school so grew up with the knowledge of God and his salvation. There is no particular moment that I can say that I gave my life Christ but there are many milestones in my journey with Him.
In 1992 I attended a mission conference and felt a calling to the mission field. Nine months later I was in Mozambique using my practical skills in house maintenance. A number of years later I joined a church planting missionary in Botswana. Having lived in a semi desert region the rain and green hills of Keswick is a great blessing. What I enjoy about the Convention is the things taken away from it. A monthly prayer meeting, new friends, messages that you remember years later.
My favourite verse is 1 Peter 1:2 “You have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.” This is the verse I go to when feeling low.
