Launch of Virtually Keswick Convention

April 22 – Keswick Ministries is launching an exciting, new five-day online event this Summer called Virtually Keswick Convention.

It will feature teaching, sung worship and seminars for children, youth and adults. The engaging sessions will be available online for everyone.

The virtual Convention will run between Monday 27 and Friday 31 July and will focus on the theme of Hope.
It has been organised following the cancellation of the usual three-week Keswick Convention due to the current worldwide Covid-19 crisis.

James Robson, Ministry Director for Keswick Ministries, said: “While we can’t be in Keswick this year, we can meet together online. What an encouragement to be part of something bigger – we’re not alone or isolated – but together. All one in Christ Jesus. There will be something for adults, children and youth. It promises to be a great time to meet with God through His Word, together.”

He added: “At this time of great uncertainty and sadness, there is hope in Jesus Christ. A Christian is not a prisoner of the present moment. Even in the midst of struggle, hardship, suffering, pain, tears, we can, by the power of the Holy Spirit, know joy and peace from the God of hope.”

The Bible Reader will be Christopher Ash, Writer-in-Residence at Tyndale House in Cambridge, who will speak on ‘Hope in Jesus’ from the Psalms.

More details of the programme will be published on our website in coming weeks.

Organisers say the aim of the Keswick Convention is for people to be inspired and equipped to love and live for Jesus Christ in His world.

Since its formation in 1875, the motto of the Convention has been “All One in Christ Jesus”, so people from all backgrounds and age groups can join together. This year’s online Convention will enable people to meet virtually.

Further updates about the online Convention plans will be posted on Keswick Ministries’ social media pages. Look out for updates. The hashtag is #KesConv20
