A versatile musician, Michael J Tinker has been releasing music since 2012. He’s known both for his folk-orientated, singer-songwriter albums as well as zany music for children, putting out 11 albums in almost as many years. Michael’s drive to write music comes from a desire to connect with people on a deeper level, sharing the joys and struggles of life to help people know they are not alone and perhaps enable them to navigate the world better. This is drawn from a deep spiritual faith, an honesty about the brokenness of the world and a secure hope that one day everything will be made new. During his career, Michael has been privileged to work alongside award-winning acts such as Damien O’Kane (the Kate Rusby band), Ron Block (Alison Krauss & Union Station) and many others. He’s supported folk-super group Bellowhead, Martin Simpson and the Albion Band.
