Christopher: I am a retired lawyer and, after two years of theological study, am now involved as a trustee of a number of Christian charities. In 2016 I wrote a ‘Gender: where next?’ for Cambridge Papers, a publication which aims to help Christians engage with a complex and changing world. I love what C. S. Lewis said: “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” I am married to Kate and we have three adult children.
Kate: I am a GP and work in a practice where many of the patients are university students. My interest in gender dysphoria first arose in 2014 when there was a large and sudden surge in the number of ‘gender-questioning’ patients seeking medical and/or surgical interventions to ‘transition’. As a Christian committed to truth and love of neighbour, I am passionate about evidence-based medicine and patient care. I am married to Christopher and we have three adult children.
