Alastair Gordon

Alastair Gordon is an award-winning artist and writer. He is co-founder of Morphē Arts, a mentoring charity for Christians in the Arts. His paintings and writing features in international art fairs and exhibitions including Tate, Bridge Projects LA and Chicago Expo. His first book, Why Art Matters (IVP) talks about contemporary art through the lens of faith and why Christians need to be active in the arts. His second book, Quodlibet (Anomie) was published this year and looks at eight years of his painting.

Alastair teaches at Leith School of Art in Edinburgh and runs weekend workshops for artists including the Keswick Art Retreat. He’s a husband, dad and likes climbing trees. He loves Jesus and thinks about art as cleaning windows in the new creation.
