I grew up in Portsmouth, where faithful leaders alongside my parents shared with me the good news of Jesus.
Since my gap year with Christians in Sport in 2008, I’ve been involved with youth and children’s ministry in a number of different ways, including eight years of working in a church as a minister overseeing the ministry to youth, children and families. It is a great privilege to work alongside parents to share the good news of Jesus with children and young people seeing lives transformed by Jesus (Romans 12:2).
I studied for 4 years at Oak Hill Theological College in London. During that time I was invited to come to the Keswick convention to be part of the youth team, from then on the convention has become an important part of the year for me and my wife with our two boys.
As a family we love sport and especially enjoy playing hockey and getting into the hills.
For the youth and kids ministry a key verse that comes to mind is: Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”. My prayer is to see children and young people come to know Jesus for themselves and to grow in him, trusting that God will work far beyond what we can imagine.
