I have had the privilege of growing up not only in a Christian home, but on the site of a Christian outdoor activity centre, on Dartmoor National Park. Until the age of nine, my family lived there, and our home was always open to those serving at the centre. From a young age, I saw the love of Christ lived out—not only through my parents’ hospitality, but through the many young people who served the ministry and invested in my life.
With the encouragement of my parents, I became a Christian around the age of ten, but it was at sixteen, through attending a Bible study, that I really began to live out my faith with boldness. After leaving education, I moved north to serve on a gap year at Capernwray Hall, which turned into just under two and a half years growing in faith and service. I am deeply grateful for all the Lord has done during this time and excited to see what God will do in the future at Keswick Ministries.
One of my favourite verses is Psalm 61:2: “Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I,” which reminds me daily of my dependence on my Father, my sure and steady Rock and that I can do nothing without my Father.
