This is one of Keswick Ministries' teaching and training events and complements the others on the Psalms that we are running. It is open to all and aims to help us to pray, sing, learn from and use the Psalms in our own devotional lives and in church.

Each day will start with a time of devotion that will include prayer, singing and a short meditation on a particular Psalm.

This will be followed by two hour-long teaching sessions on the Psalms where we will dig deeper into them together. We will explore questions like: Whose words are they - David’s, Israel’s, Jesus', the Church’s, mine? What are some of the benefits of singing/praying/using the Psalms? What are some of the challenges? What do we lose if we neglect the Psalms? What are the different types of Psalms? How do I make sense of some of the imagery? How can I pray the Psalms? Can I or should I pray all the words? What are some of the features of the poetry of the Psalms that can give me a window into using them? Is there any significance to the order of the Psalms or the shape of the Psalter? How do the Psalms equip me to respond to the Bible story?

We have kept the afternoons free for you to enjoy and be refreshed by the beautiful scenery of Keswick and the Lake District and we will end the day with an hour of singing, prayer and an exposition of a Psalm.
