Jonathan Lamb | Minister-at-Large

Jonathan Lamb

Jonathan first attended the Keswick Convention as a student, when he responded to the call to full-time mission, and he has continued his involvement with Keswick ever since, whether on the Council, as a staff member, and now helping the Keswick movement around the world as minister-at-large.  He has worked amongst students in the UK and globally with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, served in pastoral-teaching ministry at Belmont Chapel Exeter, and for many years was the Director of Langham Preaching, an agency which supports pastors and lay preachers in some 70 countries, particularly in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

He is a writer and Bible teacher and is involved in teaching and training events on behalf of Keswick, Langham Preaching and IFES in many parts of the world. He is also the author of several books, including ‘Essentially One: striving for the unity God loves’, ‘Integrity’, ‘Preaching Matters’ and ‘Growing Healthy Churches’, as well as introductory books on Nehemiah, Habakkuk, 2 Corinthians, and James. He has written about the story of the Keswick movement in the book ‘Knowing God Better’, and is also a contributor to several titles in the Keswick series, ‘Food for the Journey’. Jonathan and Margaret live in Oxford and have three children and five energetic grandchildren.

Favourite Bible verse: ‘The Lord said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me’ (2 Corinthians 12:9).
