The Keswick Convention is fantastic time of refreshment, inspiration and equipping in the Gospel.
We gather as a family “All One in Christ Jesus” – from all backgrounds and age groups. Our current need to do that is greater than ever as we share the hope that we have in Him.
While we can’t be in Keswick this year, we can meet together online to delve into God’s Word.
There will be something for adults, children and youth. It promises to be a great time to look at God's Word together.
More details to follow!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Even in the midst of struggle, hardship, suffering, pain, we can, by the power of the Holy Spirit, be filled to overflowing with joy and peace from the God of hope.
A Christian is not a prisoner of the present moment. Our mood, our well-being, our identity are not defined by our circumstances or our situation. Rather, every Christian is shaped by looking back and looking forward. We look back to Jesus’s life, death, resurrection, ascension and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. But we don’t just look back. We also look forward – eagerly – to the return and reign of Christ in a new heavens and a new earth, and the day when death is swallowed up in victory.
And this future is not a matter of wish-fulfilment or pious idealism. Rather, it is secured – held-firm – by the sure and certain promises of God. So we are not confined by what seems reasonable based on the present and its possibilities. No. We are shaped – even set free – by what is possible to the God of promise, the God of hope.
That is why this year – in the midst of a global pandemic – Keswick Convention – while not meeting together in Keswick – has decided to have a one-week event online focusing on the theme of Hope.
