All Age Service – Main Tent | Base Camp Relay

10:30-11:30am

Made and re-made in Christ | Colossians

Morning Bible Reader: Jonathan Griffiths

Main Tent |  Catch Up | Keswick Methodist Church
11:15am-12:30pm | Monday-Friday

Monday – Created: Colossians 1:15-20

Jesus Christ is preeminent in all the universe – above all things. With so many competing claims for truth and power in this world, we need to have a clear understanding of his supremacy – and we need to humbly recognize that all things in this universe were created through him and for him – not least, us human beings.

Tuesday – Reconciled: Colossians 1:21-23

We were a people who were hostile to God and guilty before him – and Jesus has taken us and reconciled us to God through his blood. Having received such a gracious rescue, we need to be careful to continue in the faith, unmoved by winds of false teaching.

Wednesday – Made alive: Colossians 2:6-15

We were once dead in our sin, and Jesus has dealt with our sin at the cross and God has made us alive with him in his resurrection. For every Christian in every age, the great challenge is to continue to walk in this new life in Christ, rooted and built up in him – not swayed or derailed by winds of false teaching.

Thursday – Raised: Colossians 3:1-11

The Christian has died with Christ and been raised with Him – and that means a clean break with the old life. Our constant challenge is to live out that reality, daily putting to death the old patterns of life and setting our sights on things above.

Friday – Loved: Colossians 3:12-17

As a people deeply loved in Christ, we are brought into a new kind of community and called to a new way of relating to the people of God. These relationships are shaped by the gospel and enabled by God Himself. While churches can too often be marked by dysfunction, Paul sets out for us a framework for healthy and life-giving Christian community rooted in the love of God.

We aim to keep afternoons clear during Convention so you can reflect and enjoy all the lake district has to offer. However, there is a concert each week and a few receptions for particular groups on site in the afternoon for those looking for something more.

There is also plenty of time in the afternoons to explore the beautiful surroundings of Keswick and the Lake District.

Visit the Enjoy Keswick Website to browse Food & Drink, Shopping, Outdoor Activities, Museums and more!

Do this all whilst eating cake and drinking tea! A place where you won’t be asked what were the toilets like? or what was the food like? But rather a place to share honestly about the trials and joys in a room of people who understand the ebbs and flows, highs and lows all too well.

This event is for mission personnel to provide an opportunity to support, chat and connect with others who also serve God around the world.

Families of Mission Personnel Afternoon Tea

This event is for family members of mission partners living overseas.

This is a great opportunity for those whose children, grandchildren, brothers or sisters are living and working overseas to get together and share fellowship, experiences and ideas. There will be some input on how family members can support their loved ones well, but also how they can be supported themselves. There’ll also be plenty of time to chat over tea, coffee and cake! Please register at the convention reception.

This event is for family members of mission partners to provide an opportunity to chat and connect with others who have loved ones serving God around the world.
